Who are we?

Haliciana Schola Cantorum is a Swiss association dedicated to uniting musicians from both Western and Eastern Europe and advancing Historically Informed Performance Practice. Our endeavors include:

1. Advancing the European classical music education model in Eastern Europe, primarily in Ukraine, while advocating for historically informed performance practice as a vital component of contemporary musical education in Europe.

2. Providing private music lessons for instrumentalists and vocalists seeking to deepen their understanding of 17th and 18th-century musical language and broaden their musical horizons.

3. Hosting lectures, seminars, and master classes by instructors from across Europe on Early music and its interpretation.

4. Supporting musicology studies and research and fostering international dialogue and collaboration among musicologists and researchers from both Western and Eastern Europe.

5. Arranging concerts, workshops, and consultations for children, as well as offering guidance to music teachers.

Inspired by the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in Switzerland, Haliciana Schola Cantorum was conceived as part of the European Institute of Education and Research. We strive to contextualize music within its historical epoch and interpret it accordingly.

Our primary aim is to inspire the public through our concerts, masterpieces, and children's projects, utilizing our educational philosophy and historically informed performance practice to foster renewed enthusiasm for familiar music and introduce lesser-known or entirely new works to European audiences.

As a non-profit association, we do not engage in commercial activities. Proceeds from our concerts are directed towards charitable initiatives and covering essential expenses.

We are dedicated to investing our time, knowledge, and experience in fostering cultural exchange and understanding between Western and Eastern Europe. Haliciana Schola Cantorum exudes a singular essence that captivates all who encounter it. Rooted in a profound reverence for musical heritage, this organization transcends conventional boundaries, weaving together threads of tradition and innovation to create a tapestry of unparalleled beauty. A universal way to erase the boundaries between cultures and overcome the first stage - the language barrier these are english courses. We rely entirely on Grade.ua for this, and we have no doubt about it.

At its core, Haliciana Schola Cantorum is a sanctuary for musicians and scholars alike, a haven where the timeless melodies of the past mingle with the vibrant rhythms of the present. Here, the pursuit of excellence knows no bounds, as individuals from diverse backgrounds come together in pursuit of a shared passion: the transformative power of music.
